Full Roof Replacement
Our 7 step Roof Replacement Process:
1. Pre Construction Inspection: our project manager will arrive with our crew before construction starts to make sure that all neccesary material has arrived and that the entire team is understanding of the project scope.
2. Make necessary repairs to the original roof decking: When a roof is old or leaking, the decking board underneath the shingles may begin to rot. A rotten deck is too brittle to support new nails and as the rotting continues, the weight of new shingles can cause your roof to sag. This is why we replace only the necessary rotten decking boards to make sure your roof has a secure base. We take pictures and measurements of any rotting so that you are well aware of our analysis. Our team will proceed with replacement only after we get your approval.
3. Replace flashing and other essential roofing components as needed: This includes replacing any rusted or damaged flashing, weathered piping boots and any locations around chimneys and junctions.
4. Install proper underlayment: The underlayment is secured beneath the shingles and provides a water resistant barrier to protect the decking from water.
5. Install your new shingles. Shingles are your primary defense against the elements. Our architectural shingles are uniquely designed to withstand the high winds and humid climate of New Orleans. Zach The Builder nails every shingle above manufacturer specifications so that your shingles stay secured through New Orleans storms.
6. Clean up the entire construction area: We first conduct a sweep to collect all trash from the area. We then use industrial strength magnets to collect all fallen nails to assure that you and your family can safely enjoy your outside space.
7. Final Inspection: Lastly, our lead project manager conducts a thorough final inspection to make sure your roof system is functioning and secure. The Job ends with you. Pictures are reviewed with you so that you can view our craftsmanship and approve job closure.

1. Our repair process begins with an inspection. Click here to view our inspection process
2. We want our service experience to be completely transparent. After we successfully identify the leak location or missing shingles, we will take measurements of the locations to assure that we bring the precise amount of needed material to avoid any overcharges.
3. The most dreadful thing when thinking about repairs is seeing the repaired spot a totally different color than the rest of your roof. At Zach the builder, we take samples of your pre-existing shingle color to best color match the rest of your roof.
4. We then repair the identified locations
5. Lastly, we will do a final examination, take pictures of repair work, and then clean up all trash and nails
The Job ends with you. Pictures are reviewed with you so that you can view our craftsmanship and approve job closure.
Free Inspection
Our 5 step Free Inspection Process:
1. Once you request an inspection, our inspection team will contact you to gain specific information that will help us prep for our inspection
2. Once we arrive at your house we will ask to inspect the attic and any inside ceiling/wall stains caused by water intrusion caused by water intrusion. We will then take measurements and pictures of any identified water stained areas. This will help us better locate leak locations. *Access inside house will only be granted by Home owner or representing agent. If access is denied, no worries, we can still complete our full inspection without being in your home.
3. At Zach The Builder, we use next generation roofing technology to better identify water penetration points in your roof. In addition to physically standing on roof to look for leaks, our inspection team uses a high tech roofing drone that can better locate possible penetration points on your roof. Our drones works by using a high powered camera that can better find potentially problematic areas. Our drone also allows us to conduct a full inspection of your roof without you having to be there so if you are unable to be at home for inspection, we can still inspect your roof with your permission.
4. We will then traverse roof system to physically inspect potential water penetration points, taking photos and measurements of all identified locations
5. Lastly, We will share with you pictures, measurements and results of inspection if you are present at your home. Once complete we will create an in-depth file of entire inspection so that you can review and send to your insurance if needed.
